Ciao a tutti, oggi con Massimo e Paolo, sono beata tra gli uomini! Anche se fisicamente siamo più lontani del solito con Paolo ad Ivrea, in Piemonte e Massimo a Montella in Campania.

Iniziamo come sempre con i saluti: salutiamo tutti voi che ci seguite sempre più numerosi e diamo il benvenuto a tre nuovi patron: MICHEL, LING e ADRIAN.

Questa settimana vi raccontiamo di tre veri MOSTRI SACRI ciascuno nel proprio campo…

L’espressione “Essere un mostro sacro” significa eccellere in un determinato campo di attività e divenire per questo oggetto di ammirazione universale.

17 agosto
Nasce Robert De Niro: Nato a New York, è uno dei mostri sacri del cinema americano, anche se nelle sue vene scorre sangue italiano: i nonni paterni erano originari di Ferrazzano, in provincia di Campobasso.

Dopo l’esordio con Brian De Palma nel 1968, sei anni dopo a soli 30 anni porta a casa il primo Oscar, come miglior attore non protagonista, per la straordinaria interpretazione di don Vito Corleone ne “Il Padrino parte II”.

Negli anni a seguire, i migliori registi se lo contendono, con Martin Scorsese si crea un sodalizio professionale che porta a grandi capolavori: da Taxi Driver a Toro scatenato che nel 1981 gli vale il secondo Oscar come “miglior attore protagonista”, da Quei bravi ragazzi a Casinò.

La maniacale preparazione del personaggio e la sublime versatilità, nell’interpretare ruoli tra loro distanti e nel districarsi tra i vari generi, dal thriller alla commedia, lo pongono al vertice di una generazione di attori, accanto agli altrettanto grandi Dustin Hoffman e Al Pacino.

Tra le altre sue pellicole più note: C’era una volta in America, Gli intoccabili e Bronx.

1943 Nasce Gianni Rivera: Nato ad Alessandria, è un ex calciatore, un mostro sacro della squadra della sua città (con la quale esordì in seria A a 16 anni) e del Milan, con 501 presenze e 122 reti. Al termine della stagione 2018/19, è 11° nella classifica all time delle presenze in serie A e 42° in quella dei marcatori (128 gol).

Con il soprannome “ragazzo d’oro“, nel calcio degli anni Sessanta e Settanta è un grande numero 10, che in diciannove campionati con la maglia rossonera conquista tre scudetti, quattro Coppe Italia, due Coppe dei Campioni, due Coppe delle Coppe e una Coppa Intercontinentale.

A 18 anni fa il suo esordio in Nazionale, totalizzando 60 presenze con 14 reti e diventando vice campione del mondo nel 1970 e campione europeo nel 1968.

E’ Pallone d’oro nel 1969, nel 2004 viene inserito nella FIFA 100, la lista dei 125 migliori giocatori viventi, selezionati da Pelé.

1911 – Furto della Gioconda al Louvre (109 anni fa): Vincenzo Peruggia – trentenne decoratore, originario della provincia di Varese in Lombardia – entra in azione la mattina di lunedì 21, giorno di chiusura del Louvre. Avendo prestato servizio al museo, Perugia conosce nei minimi particolari le abitudini del personale e sa che troverà il custode immerso nel sonno. Staccato il dipinto di Leonardo Da vinci (mostro sacro della scienza, della pittura,dell’architettura, della scultura, dell’ingegneria e chi più ne ha più ne metta), se lo infila sotto il cappotto e si allontana velocemente senza essere notato.

Al museo si accorgono del furto soltanto il giorno dopo. Immediatamente la polizia francese inizia ad indagare ma senza alcun risultato. Vengono sospettati anche due giovani artisti: Apollinaire e Picasso per aver sempre palesato la voglia di svuotare i musei e di riempirli con le loro opere.

Le pagine dei giornali parlano a lungo della vicenda e il Louvre rimane per ben due anni senza la sua Monna Lisa. In italiano Monna è l’abbreviazione di madonna (ovvero signora), titolo che nel basso Medioevo si usava premettere al nome.

Quando Peruggia, a distanza di due anni dal furto, prova a rivendere il dipinto a un antiquario di Firenze, a patto che il quadro venga custodito in Italia, viene arrestato e condannato a un anno di reclusione per furto aggravato (la pena sarà poi ridotta in appello a 7 mesi).

Il furto e i due lunghi anni prima del ritrovamento, vedono nascere e crescere anche tra le classi popolari il mito della Gioconda che ancora oggi affascina ed incuriosisce con il suo misterioso sorriso.

Today with Massimo and Paolo, I am beata tra gli uomini (blessed among men)! Although physically we are further away than usual with Paolo in Ivrea, in Piedmont and Massimo in Montella in Campania.

This week we tell you about three real MOSTRI SACRI (SACRED MONSTERS) each in their own field…

The expression “Essere un mostro sacro” (“Being a sacred monster”) means excelling in a certain field of activity and becoming an object of universal admiration for this.

August 17th
1943 Robert De Niro is born: Born in New York, he is one of the sacred monsters of American cinema, even though Italian blood flows in his veins: his paternal grandparents were originally from Ferrazzano, in the province of Campobasso.

1911 – Theft of the Mona Lisa at the Louvre (109 years ago): Vincenzo Peruggia – a 30-year-old decorator, originally from the province of Varese in Lombardy – goes into action on the morning of Monday 21, the closing day of the Louvre. Having served at the museum, Peruggia knows the habits of the staff in detail and knows that he will find the keeper deep in sleep. Detaching the painting by Leonardo Da vinci (sacred monster of science, painting, architecture, sculpture, engineering and chi più ne ha più ne metta so on and so forth), he slips it under his coat and walks away quickly without being noticed.

At the museum, they are not aware of the theft until the next day. Immediately the French police began to investigate but to no avail. Two young artists are also suspected: Apollinaire and Picasso for having always shown the desire to empty museums and fill them with their works.

When Peruggia, two years after the theft, tries to resell the painting to an antiquarian in Florence, as long as the painting is kept in Italy, he is arrested and sentenced to one year in prison for aggravated theft (the penalty will then be reduced on appeal at 7 months).

The theft and the two long years before the discovery saw the birth and growth even among the popular classes of the myth of the Mona Lisa which still fascinates and intrigues with her mysterious smile.
